Dennis DeGrasse - Prophetic Report for Taunton 22/10/09
Act 4:29 And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, Your servants, great boldness in preaching Your word. 30 Stretch out Your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of Your holy servant Jesus." 31 After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness. 32 All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. 33 The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God's great blessing was upon them all.
As I began to pray for this city, I heard several key words. You are a city in which the Lord is preparing a pattern for others to see. He is on the move and you are a people on the move. You are becoming a force to be reckoned with. The various streams and brooks are uniting to become a river. There is a momentum and spiritual force in your uniting.
Leadership will begin to emerge in the city that will bring even greater change in the city church. The Lord has put His hand in the mix and will stir and arrange according to His own will. During the process I hear the Lord speak of the need for patience and humility. Impatience has caused a lot of damage to the Kingdom and pride has derailed many would be reformers.
It is a time for boldness born of visitation and impartation. God shook the house, but He also imparted a Holy Boldness to the infant church and its leaders. The further you go in the process the more you will need His grace upon you. Being bold is different than being impulsive. Boldness and faith will allow you to follow the path. Fear of loss will keep you on the bank of the river; boldness will allow you to jump into the waters that are over your head. Humility will give you the ability to swim in the deep waters of God.
Act 13:1 Among the prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch of Syria were Barnabas, Simeon (called "the black man"), Lucius (from Cyrene), Manaen (the childhood companion of King Herod Antipas), and Saul. 2 One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them." 3 So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
I believe I heard the Lord say that Taunton was going to be a “gateway” city in the nation. Antioch was a gateway city that released Paul into his international ministry. You will find yourselves releasing the blessings of the Lord to this region, this nation and the nations beyond. It will be the Holy Spirit that will facilitate these things and who will raise up those whom He has chosen for His own Kingdom purpose.
Act 6:4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word."
I am impressed that you cannot pray enough about these matters. As you prostrate yourselves before the throne of heaven, you will be lifted up into the purpose of God for your generation. He will give you powerful rhema words that will move the people of God.
